Lesson for the day. Always be sensitive to that still small voice deep within our soul. Against my better judgement, I finally concede to go for a tractor ride to see how very full and lovely the dam is. Bruised ribs and all - not a pleasant ride and definitely not dressed for the occasion - every jolt like a punch against my very sensitive ribs......only for the tractor to have other ideas. Approx 50/70 metres away from the Dam, quite deep into the bush.......the dear tractor decides to stall right in the middle of the mud and mire. So, almost 2 hours later, all safe and sound and back at the homestead.........tractor and all. Going to have a very well deserved hot bath topped with lots of bubbles!! Scrub, scrub and more scrubbing......not to mention my clothing.......
