Lessons to be learned from Obamacare falling apart. Responsible people focus on reality and not on the platitudes of politicians. We will only trust government so far. I believe now we will begin to see a big move away from central government, which was a mistake in the first place. Now we have politicians fleecing the public and making millions for themselves at the expense of everyone else. I agree with Mona Charen, the syndicated columnist who stated in her article today; The Hippocratic oath for physicians should also apply to leaders: First, do no harm. The entire health care system now trembles with uncertainty because Obama imposed his vision of fundamental transformation on a reluctant nation. Instead of overhauling the whole system, they should have begun by fixing the problems with the system one at time in complete cooperation with the medical world, and the insurance system. By working together and utilizing the knowledge and experience of both, this could be done over time with very little cost to the public, and by enacting tort reform, which by itself would save billions of dollars, insurance would be cheaper and so would health care.
