Good communication (verbal & written) skills. Previous experience in a Hospital environment will be a recommendation. Be able to work shifts. Duties:Daily tasks: Taking care and cleaning of equipments, instruments, machines and trolleys. Use of machines and ensuring that packs are correctly sterilized. Sorting of used linen, packs and re-packing clean packs and clean linen. Ensuring clean and safe environment for staff and patients by e.g. cleaning of department, emptying of binnets and plastic replacement. Report leakages of taps, blocked drains and toilets immediately to the senior personnel in-charge. Ensuring cleanliness of the toilets at all times. Ensuring that protective clothing, deodorants, sprays, tidy towels, handsoaps, toilet paper are at easy access to staff and patients. Collect and distribute meals for patients and wash utensils and dishes used. Do messenger duties for department allocated into eg. Taking files to pharmacy. Washing of mops after use and ensuring that the department is clean at all times. Take orders from sister in-charge and assist with general patient care.
