Let me make this very clear: This page, this group, created by me five or six years ago before I worked for NYRA, was and remains intended to talk about the good things about New York Racing. Im mostly an apolitical guy. Im more about the racing itself than the association that presents it. That doesnt make me right; in fact, it might make me wrong. But such it is. You have every right to complain and attack, but it wont be here. This isnt NYRA stopping you - this is my own evil self saying, Do it somewhere else. Feel free to hate me or trash me. If things disappear here, you can blame me, not NYRA. Share your handicapping here, your love of jockeys and trainers and grooms and hotwalkers, your passion for the history of tracks - thats it. You have plenty of forums to attack elsewhere. Everything you say could be spot on, but it doesnt belong here. Thank you for caring about your New York racing. I really mean that. And I do wish you luck. But I rather it be quiet here than political. Creating your own group or page is easier than picking a winner in a walkover. I just aint the political type, and I was the same exact simpleton 25 years ago, when I was picking horses for a large audience. I left the politics to others. We probably need more people like you, and you and you, but, Im sorry, its just not my style.
