Let me tell you a short story, friends. It has pathos, melodrama - TopicsExpress

Let me tell you a short story, friends. It has pathos, melodrama and high voltage clash of emotions. These are a given - and would not, therefore, be part of the narrative. You have to read between the lines, since Facebook offers such small space for entering text and since your patience is famously limited when it comes to reading beyond a few lines. Coming straight to the point, I request you to recall the fictional (?) character I have lately described in my status updates as somewhat diminutive in stature (not physical) and shallow of thought apart from some other unpalatable attributes, which I refrain from reiterating. [Can you feel the pathos ? You have to flow with the story line and feel the overwhelming emotions without me labouring to create the impact] This central character now faces a serious problem. [Emotion !] Torn between his natural propensities to be rude and cranky on the one hand, and ‘station-in-life’ demands on him to be polite and professional on the other, he consciously chooses to make a mix of the two extremes. Resultantly, his responses become predictably irrational and Kafkaesque. He seems to suffer from melancholy and nausea intermittently. A chance meeting with another character, already introduced to you friends, makes matters worse. The story continues.. (Watch this space )
