Such equality is necessary in order to create a free government. All men must be equal to each other in natural law. Which went on to be used in the Declaration of Independence: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. Or do we not believe that anymore? BECAUSE YOU EITHER BELIEVE ALL PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE, OR YOU DONT. ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
