Let us not be decieved, there is genuine evil in the world.Our prayers are with our Army as they change from peace keaping into combat missions as part of African Unions Rapid Response Teams. Its one thing to join the Army in peace-time but another when duty calls and missiles start letting loose in some Failed African State. My hat goes out to the Chaplains especially , because I would hate to see a military without G-ds people involved. If Chaplains are not there, it can be very bad. They have a good restraining influence on a battle hardened Troopie The theology of war is a difficult intellectual terrain. If you are struggling with the morality of fighting and killing setting into army routine can be a mountain to climb. There are bad people in this world. Singing hymns didnt prevent the Nazis from slaughtering millions of Jews. The Slaughtering only stopped when the Nazis were defeated in battle. The state exists as an instrument of G-d, at its best it protects souls within and outside her borders! The millitary is a tool to protect lives and achieve peace througout our beloved continent! As our Blue Berests take their position, and push back barbarism we will back them with our prayers and support!
