Let us remember! On the night of November 9th 1938 - 75 years ago - the Nazis and their followers - often neighbors - destroyed over 1000 Jewish shops, houses, apartments. The mob burnt down over 1400 synagogues and other religious places. 400 Jewish Germans were killed or driven into suicide. Jewish cemeteries were devastated. The following days over 30000 Jews were detained and sent to concentration camps. Most of them never returned. This day - known as the November Pogrom Night - marked the threshold from discrimination to relentless pursuit of Jews in Germany, finally resulting in the Holocaust. We shall not forgive. We shall not forget. We shall remember the victims.
