Lets continue the Brachial Stun theme too... The Brachial Stun is taught in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) and often paired with the knife hand or axe hand strike. In this video, one skeptical Marine NCO asks another Marine to use the knife hand to the neck strike to see what happens... After you watch the video, go ahead and read the comments. There are plenty that say, Ive had people try this on me, and it doesnt work! There are all kinds of reasons for that: the strike might not have been hard enough, it might not have been properly placed, the subject mightve tensed the muscles... The fact is -- there are no 100% guarantees in Combatives and martial arts. No one can promise you the opponent is going to collapse like a sack of jelly on the floor from a strike targeting the Brachial nerve. The only promise I can make is that striking the neck with malicious intention is going to be better for you than it is your opponent. And you might luck out and actual knock the person unconscious.
