Lets get one thing straight: as an atheist who usually votes for Republicans, I dont like Bill Maher very much. But let it never be said that I dont give credit where credit is due: Bill actually DOES seem to believe in the values that liberals used to hold dear. If Democrat voters still believed in the things that Bill defends here, I would happily call them friend and neighbor, and even patriot, no matter how much I disagreed with their politics. If Democrat politicians like Truman still existed (even with all the problems of the Truman administration), I could even vote for one. Because they would be people who shared my values and merely disagreed on how best to implement them. Instead of people who seem to hold wholly different values, which are, quite frankly, inferior.
