Lets get started with todays game review. Firstly it was a lovely day for football. 19-20 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. The second semi final of the day (first won by the spears over the wildcats, score unknown but I do know that one team scored more than the other and that team was the spears) saw the Diamonds up against the Sirens. Onto the field rolled the diamonds and before you knew it the sirens had scored on a massive run. Defence fell a sleep and Sirens let them know that they were here to play. This awoke the sleeping diamonds and it was game on. The next one and half halves of football saw the Diamonds open up the flood gates and score the most points of any team this year in the womens comp in the ACT (please correct me if I am wrong). I am not going to go into all the plays or touchdowns scored but some highlights included: Kiwi having a Willy Beamen moment. Or was that Tamara having a Willy Beamen moment??? In fact I think several of the girls may of after a birthday party last night. Kaelz super sub making a guest appearance, passing for a touch down and handing off for another. On defense Kaya is angry, Michalea needs a lot of water, Kellie and Sam aka Rommy and Michelle (BFF) continued on from where they left off last week. The whole D was pretty amazing today and congrats to the girls. On offense its hard to go pass the O Line, the o-line today dominated and as such it helped the Diamonds O score 34 points, through Kiwi (had a great game ever after Willie moment), Speedy Charlie, Maddy and of course super sub Kaelz and angry Kaya. Overall it was a great day for football and hats off to the sirens who lost several players to injury but still stepped up to the challenge. Bring on the Wildcats in semi number two next Saturday night at Greenway.
