Lets kick this forum off right. Raw food diets and raw bones for dogs(1). I have heard many things. They improve coats, are better because they are more like the natural diet of the ancestor of modern dogs, the wolf. I have also heard they require less feeding, justifying the cost. I have recently also heard of e.coli contamination in raw food diets. Knowing this used to be an issue with kibbles in the past, it seems to be an issue now in raw food diets(2). Is this cause for concern? Do the benefits of these, often expensive, diets outweigh potential risk?
