Lets see.......What did I do on my vacation day today? Got up at 5 am was at the store by 5:15 getting my groceries (after going to Costco last night). Then back home by 6:30! Started boiling my 20lbs of potatoes - boiled, riced and mashed them = done! Made the Dickhausen family sauerkraut recipe - Gram would be proud of me! I always love making it and remembering the day she taught me just a few years before she passed. Green Jello = done! Cranberry salad = almost done (will finish it tomorrow). Lefse = made and ready! Sweet potatoes ready to throw in the oven! Homemade gluten free French fried onions ready for the green beans! Fresh cranberry salad (yes 2 cranberry salads) for mom made and ready! Thanksgiving dishes all washed and ready to go and then back to the store because mom called to say she forgot her famous homemade apple pies at home! So I had to buy apples to make two pies! Done! Homemade Gluten free Apple Crisp all put together and ready to bake! Am I missing anything here? I think we are ready for tomorrow........or at least I am ready. Please if your reading this say a prayer for safe travel for AJ he is driving home alone from Grand Forks tonight after work at 11pm!
