Lets see if I understand the position of those who are ticked off about the Hobby Lobby Correctly: They are upset that: Hobby Lobby isnt forced by law to provide a benefit to its employees that should supposedly include a particular service; The government doesnt have the jurisdiction to regulate matters of conscience and choice in the matter; The particular service is supposedly a constitutional right that should be provided for at the expense of others; And should be required by law, but isnt. They hold that: Corporations are created by a charter granted by government (which legally declares it a person, though almost all are absolutely clueless what any of that means); Corporations are evil by nature, so government should balance corporate evil by imposing by threat of force or ruin the perceived opinion of the majority (of voters) by enacting laws (upon all) to govern corporations; Corporations should be legally liable for harm or damage done in its operational activities, which is why they are formed in the first place (its hard to sue something that isnt a person.....try suing a rock sometime); Corporations should pay income and property taxes; Corporations should pay higher tax rates than people (OHHHH THE IRONY); Corporations, though they are legally persons, cannot vote or contribute to political campaigns (unless the government grants them the right to do so in the charter granted, forming said person / corporation); And though it is a person, it has no constitutional rights. AND THEY SAY THE TEA PARTY, LIBERTARIANS AND CONSTITUTIONALISTS ARE SCREWED UP? Okay. I understand now. I understand that our society has gone off the rail on the crazy train.
