Lets see.....what did this weekend hold? A child who criedd on Friday because the weekend was going to be too short, Lots of cooking for a wonderful gathering of family, Started off Friday with bomb threats and robbery of a local bank, Loaded up everything except for the kitchen sink(will work on this for next year) into the big red van, picked up the college student, battled a large guinnea wasp nest (times 2), battled gale force winds( which ushered in much cooler temps), cooked some more, crashed a biker party, had my hotel room rolled by a teenager who will be repaid at a time yet to be determined, had ice wars with said teenage girl, asked a park ranger for a water hose and got a broom, crashed a biker party with my sister, listened to some great acoustic music from the balcony, caught up with family from Georgia and Tennessee, and enjoyed the sweetest fellowship of love ones, missed those who could not attend, cried with an uncle as he addressed the family, ate way too much, introduced people to some of our farm delicacies, dropped the college student off at college and now to unpack. Praying for safe travels for all. Pickwick Landing is our home away from home. Its as comfortable as flip flops and stretch pants. I hope all have safe travels home. I pray that all my friends have had a great weekend and that Emmanuel Baptist has had a great first day of revival meetings.
