Share Till It Gets To The FG | MUST READ Written By : Kingsley Kanu SuGe Jun 14th, 10:50am Good day sir,My name Kanu Kingsley, I work with R & S Lotto Company Ltd. 53/44 Moore House Street, Ogui Enugu, Enugu State Nigeria.Our pioneer members held a meeting with our M.D. Mr. Francis Chidac (A Lebanese) on tuesday 10th of June, 2014, on a better working conditions and way forward, which resulted to a conflict. Our members were detained in his office for about 6 hours before they were released.We met our lawyer the following day and he asked to make a report at the nearby police station on unlawful detention. He then wrote the M.D for damages, telling him we will be heading to court on Human Right infringement in 5 days time.We also went to Federal Ministry of Labour and made a complain on unfair labour practices. They told us they would write him and visit him on Tuesday 17th of June, 2014.The nearby police station invited our M.D and he used his connections to transfer the case to the state CID Enugu. Since yesterday, we have been hunted by his friend Alhaji Gombo and men of the state CID. One of our pioneer members was arrested on his way to our lawyers place around 12.30pm, he managed to contact his wife before they took him away. Our lawyers left for the state CID as soon we heard the news and on getting to the station, they couldnt find any record of his arrest or any petition. I went on facebook and lamented, telling the whole world what was going on and that this could be a kidnap if we dont see him. Our M.D called one of us, told him that he is aware of the arrest and that they would arrest me too for writing on facebook. Minutes later, our colleagues wife called us and told us that they have now seen him in the state CID.That they are asking for us to come to the state CID before they will bail him. That if they dont see us, the remaining members, suing our M.D, that they wont bail him.They even came to our lawyers place to take us but they couldnt.As I am writing this to you, I want you to know that my life is in danger. I am the outspoken person amongst my members. Our M.D does not want to go to court because all the fraud and unfair Labour practices he had been engaged in our working environment.They are trying their best to get to all of us before we get a court injunction.We have told him we are going to court, why are they hunting us?They should meet us in court.My brothers, please use your voices and all you have to ask the Federal Government of Nigeria to look into our case, also to carry out a transparent investigation on the case.According to the news from the 103rd international labour conference. Nigeria made a plea on unfair labour practices on Nigerians abroad. What about at home, Nigerians at home? Where is our right?Where is our fundamental human right?Where is our gainful employment right?I pray you all may use your good offices to investigate and come to aid. We are not restive, we are peaceful.
