Letter to the Editor The Press Monday April 21st 2014 The Tenants Protection Association (Christchurch) would like to acknowledge the work put into the Housing Accord between the Government and Christchurch City Council which has created another solution to address affordable housing supply in our city. While we realise the housing problem is much bigger than this solution could ever hope to solve, TPA believes that these steps are significant in showing a commitment from the Christchurch City Council, Housing New Zealand and the Crown to addressing the housing shortage in our city. The commitment to sustainability within the social housing arena and also to mixed tenure housing ventures can only be a positive step forward and we welcome any solution focused approaches.
