Levee breeched and SF Bay water flows to Restore Hamilton Wetlands Tidal Marsh! Last month on April 25th, Point Blues STRAW (Students and Teachers Restoring A Watershed) staff attended the levee breech at the Hamilton Wetlands Restoration Project. It was an historic event attended by nearly 100 people, including Congressman Jared Huffman and project lead officials from the Army Corps of Engineers and the CA Coastal Conservancy. Point Blues STRAW Program partnered to install many of the native plants in the willdife corridor section with students, teachers and community volunteers.
