Libya : a separatist militia creates an oil company (media ) Members of a separatist militia operating in eastern Libya announced the establishment of an independent oil company in the central government , said on Monday the European media. Friday, November 8 , a group of armed fighters took under its control multiple ports in the region , including the Tobruk (east), through which the National Oil Corporation made deliveries of crude oil to European countries . According to a rebel leader who spoke Sunday on-air local television, the separatists suspended oil loading aboard tankers belonging to the State and consider starting their own oil company , whose headquarters will be at Tobruk. In June , Cyrenaica , Libyas eastern province , declared its independence vis-à- vis the central government .
