Life is filled with complex decisions; decisions about money, - TopicsExpress

Life is filled with complex decisions; decisions about money, about faith, about relationships, careers, education, health -- you name it and theres probably a decision to be made about it somewhere along the way. Solomon made a quality decision about leading Gods people when he asked for wisdom above all else. That one decision resulted in Gods unbelievable favor in his life. In reality, he may have been just one WRONG decision away from total disaster… but he made a wise choice. A couple of Rules of Thumb Ive often found helpful in my own decision making processes: 1) Never make a life-altering decision when youre in a valley season in your life. If you do, you will likely regret the outcome -- simply because you dont have clarity in the valley -- the fog is thick, the view is limited and youre usually off balance emotionally. Wait until youve climbed out of your funk and youre back on top of the mountain where the sun illuminates the various facets of the decision youre about to make. 2) Prayerful decisions always seem to pan out better. Our Father knows the end from the beginning -- and everything in between. Why not take some time to talk to God before you just take a flying leap of faith and make a decision based solely on your human perspective. Virtually every major decision in life will have some spiritual ramification. Nobody wants you to make better decisions than God. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6
