Life isn’t always fair. No one ever said it was, and no one ever promised it would be. There will always be people around us who have some advantage over us, who get an easy ride, who has their path smoothed for them by someone, or who flat-out cheat. Unfortunately, we can’t always do anything about it. But when the time comes for you to look back on your life, would you rather see yourself as someone who worked hard and did their best but didn’t always get due credit or recognition for it, or would you rather have experienced the admiration and accolades that comes from success when you didn’t really quite deserve it? When we look at the material rewards of life, no it isn’t always fair. But when we look at the internal rewards, then yes, it is. You always get out what you put in. Integrity and hard work will always reward us, in ways that no one can take away. – Gloria.
