Light-Based superfast computers will be here in a decade!!! Researches are now designing superfast computers which will use light to transmit information instead of electricity. Internet currently relies on light to process information but it has been difficult to create a material that would enable us do the same with computers. By fine-tuning the electrical conductivity of glass, researchers have taken an important step towards optical computers that use light instead of electricity and would be capable of processing data at the speed of light.
