“Light of Kindness” was shed on Komi Republic The members of the Inclusive Dance Festival organizing committee came back from the festival “Light of Kindness” which took place in Komi Republic. Participation in it became the most important stage before holding “Inclusive Dance” Festival on the 3rd December in Moscow and gave them a lot of striking emotions, an opportunity to make new friends and inestimable experience. The Chairman of the Festival Organizing Committee Leonid Tarasov and the inclusive group of dancers from the Centre “Odukhotvorenie” left to Komi, where they performed with dancing numbers on the stage of House of Culture in Ezhva and also conducted dance workshops for the representatives of social institutions, whose activity is devoted to rehabilitation of physical challenged people by means of dance. More detailed information about this festival and photos are taken from the informational agency BNK website - bnkomi.ru/data/news/22757/ More than 600 people gathered on the 1st regional inclusive festival “Light of Kindness”, which was hold in Ezhva House of Culture on Saturday. The groups and performers with hard diseases – students of boarding schools, members of specialized art associations, solo performers performed for the audience for 2,5 hours. The most welcome participant of the concert was the winner of the show “A- Factor” Yulia Samoilova from Ukhta, the presenters of the concert were director of the Charity Fund “Power of Kindness” Tatyana Kozlova and actor Boris Smolkin. There was no opportunity to provide all comers with seats, 2 minutes before the concert there were no vacant seats at all. The singer and composer Alexander Ermolov opened the concert with 2 his songs. In common, the audience heard Ermolov’s songs even more often than its own exclamations. The audience was much surprised by performing of dancers, who considered using of wheelchair to be an advantage. The members of group of dancers “Preodoley-ka”, dancing couple from Moscow Centre of Social and Cultural Animation “Odukhotvorenie” and students of Ezhva psycho neurological boarding school showed the audience how to change one’s attitude to the event in the world around as and made them envy their plastique, artistry and behave on the stage. After two dances by dancing couple Olga Loeva - Leonid Tarasov the audience exploded with applause. The other participants were greet the same way. In her speech before opening of the festival the deputy head of Komi Republic Tamara Nikolaeva said: “It’s very important for anyone of us to have an opportunity for self-expression, communication, self-realization, in spite of age, place of residence and physical wellbeing. And this festival is organized for implementation of these goals, because due to it we were able to meet in this concert hall. We can overcome all difficulties and develop only being together. Besides, Tamara Nikolaeva expressed her thanks to director of the charity fund “Power of Kindness” Tatyana Kozlova for organizing this event, and Republic Education Secretary Vladimir Sharkov promised to support organizing of the 2nd regional inclusive festival by his department in a year. Director of a charity fund “Power of Kindness”, Centre of Social and Cultural Animation “Odukhotvorenie” and administration of Syktyvkar Ezhva region with the support of Ministry of Culture of Komi Republic are included in the list of founders of the festival. Vladimir Sharkov said: “Power of Kindness” which became the “Light” today is some kind of rescue from indifference, which we need badly. I want to thank all performers, I even shed a tear, looking at them. Songs by Yulia Samoilova touched me to the innermost of my heart. Then he said to Tatyana Kozlova: At this time there were not enough seats for all who wanted to visit the festival, that’s why we commit ourselves to help you the next year. Yulia Samoilova was touched by such hearty welcome. “I’m very glad that you welcomed me like this. It’s very pleasant,- said she. The winner of “A- Factor” show performed only 3 songs: “A woman, who is singing”, “Pray” and her new song “Light”. After the end of the festival when all participants were awarded with presents from the founders, Yulia Samoilova gave autographs and talked with her fans. The representatives of The Centre of Social and Cultural Animation “Odukhotvorenie” and group of dancers “Preodoley-ka” stayed in Syktyvkar a little longer. The next day they conducted a seminar for caseworkers and volunteers, which was devoted to finding ways of expansion of social contacts and overcoming of social isolation among physical challenged and disabled people, by means of inclusive dance.
