Like any other country we appreciate investors, but they should - TopicsExpress

Like any other country we appreciate investors, but they should come on our terms and not dictate terms to us as the indigenous people and owners of the natural resources. We lay down the laws of engagement. Our indigenisation law clearly states that any investor wishing to do business here, exploiting our natural resources, must engage local partners where 51% equity belongs to locals while 49% goes to the foreigner/s.No sane Zimbabwean can disagree or argue with this proposition. It must be remembered that the "investor" is only interested in our resources and nothing else.As soon as the resources run out,the "investor" packs up and looks for another country, leaving us with empty shells. That outcome is what has informed us to enact a law that looks out for our best interests in the longterm. The successful Asian economies like China,South Korea,Japan,Singapore etc all have these laws, albeit with much higher threshholds of indigenous ownership. This is a revolutionary law whose results will be marvelled at for generations to come.If we are to succeed like the Asian tigers then we got to apply the same principles that made them rise, and thats giving the indigenous people ownership of their resources and the means of production, taking the economic reins instead of waiting for and pinning all hope on the "western investors".If the Asians had waited for the west, they still would be waiting.Foward with empowerment,Vote R.G Mugabe for President, vote Zanu Pf.Bhora mugedhi/ibhola egedini!!
