Linda Rachel Hi All, I have been waiting to put this in here. I found out a couple of weeks ago that my thinking of what was a bladder sling issue actually is a grapefruit sized tumor in me originating they think on my ovary, with all indicators (blood test indicator >35 is normal, I have 395 which indicates ovarian cancer. Only 1.4% of women get this. So, I am going into a major surgery (being cut open 18 vertical) as they remove tumor and other cancer that is on other parts. Not to bring gloom, but this is very risky and chance of bleeding, infection is great since they are messing with all of my organs inside and I am opened up wide for 2 to 4 hours. What I need from everyone is prayer, lots of prayer for the surgeon, for my family and friends, and for me. I am hoping to survive this (biggest risk is after surgery I guess) to get a few more years, and if I am just going to rock the charts and not fit the grim statistics...this type of cancer is very aggressive, fast growing, and usually after 1st Chemo, comes back in 2/3 years, and need another surgery etc. in another 2/3 years, then on the 3rd that is pretty much it. Usually up to 35% live to 5 years or longer. So, I wanna try to be one of those percent! HELP ME! Prayers needed, often, a lot, anything you can do! Plz. My surgery is MONDAY at 9:30 AM Mountain time. Thank you so much.
