Linda (Welch) Mayhews story I graduated from PCBBC in 1982. One week after graduation I married Jerry Mayhew. I taught 4th grade at Puente Christian School for two years. My husband and I then decided that I would be a stay-at-home mom to raise our children - Tim, Jon, and Emily. When my youngest, Emily, started kindergarten, I went back to school. I received a Bachelors degree in Business from Liberty University and my teaching credentials from San Diego State University. I have been teaching 5th grade at Ben Hulse Elementary in Imperial, California, for the past 17 years. I also received my Masters Degree in Reading Intervention during that time. Of all the years of education, PCBBC was the most rewarding. During the years I was staying home, Jerry worked full-time and also became the youth director at Faith Baptist Church. Jerry and I currently attend Western Avenue Baptist Church where I teach the 4th-6th grade Sunday School class. I also have the Wednesday night nursery duty to allow our young mothers to teach in AWANA.
