Linde is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the team at the Delta Air Separation Unit plant in Delta, Ohio. Job Responsibilities: o Maintain plant equipment and facilities to support 24X7 industrial gas manufacturing operations. o Troubleshoot problems in electromechanical systems throughout the plant. o Repair/replace electromechanical components that have been compromised within a given system. o Promptly complete all preventive and predictive maintenance activities that are scheduled. o Prepare job plans and scope of work for planned maintenance activities o Comply with all Lock Out Tag Out and Permit to Work requirements as well as become a certified Hazardous Work Permit and Confined Space Permit issuer. o Routinely enter all Maintenance required data into the maintenance management software in order to keep system current. o Monitor the performance of contractors contracted to perform work that exceeds the capabilities or expertise of the maintenance team at the plant. Ensure that all internal Linde safety requirements are adhered to by the contractors. o Operate industrial rotating machinery and understand basic processes within the plant. Interact with Remote Operator on a daily basis to ensure plant production. o Perform the daily Quality Management System tasks to include calibration, maintenance and repair of chemical analytical equipment. o Motor Control troubleshooting and repair. Minimum Qualifications: o A Maintenance Technician must have a high school degree; an AS degree or equivalent experience is strongly preferred. Previous industrial, construction, military or commercial electrical experience is preferred. o The individual must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain one or more of: 1) electrical systems 2) mechanical systems, and 3) pneumatic/hydraulic systems. o The individual must be willing to work shifts and accept on-call responsibilities. o The individual must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to other Linde locations in Northwest Ohio and Southeastern Michigan occasionally. o The individual must be capable up routinely lifting, pulling or pushing a minimum of 50 lbs. o The individual must be capable of wearing industrial PPE such as hardhats, work boots, gloves, ARC flash suits, and outdoor winter clothing. o The individual must be capable of repairing mechanical equipment like compressors, pumps, valves, and fittings. o Proficiency with a variety of basic hand and power tools is required. o Willingness to climb to and work at heights and within confined spaces. o Computer literacy and Proficiency with Microsoft Office if required o Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is a significant plus o Basic rotating equipment troubleshooting, repair and maintenance o Basic motor control troubleshooting, repair and maintenance o HVAC troubleshooting, repair and maintenance is a significant plus. o Mid-level electrical circuit troubleshooting, repair and maintenance. o Motor Control troubleshooting. o Predictive/preventive maintenance techniques and documentation with Computerized Maintenance Management System is a significant plus. o Experience in a chemical or industrial manufacturing facility and an understanding of process systems and basic chemistry is a significant plus. o Be able to study for and pass within 1 year from hire the ISA Certified Control System Technician level I course and exam.
