The course taught by Oxford Digital Media starts with a comprehensive overview of the profile element of the tool. Using established search engine optimisation strategies, you will be shown how to give your profile entry maximum impact. What to include, what to highlight and what to leave out will be covered in some detail. Strategies to build contacts and useful networking tips in giving and receiving invitations within the tool, how to export your contacts out to Outlook and tagging will be also be covered. Using groups, and the advantages of company pages will be discussed as well as embedding your use of LinkedIn into your wider Online Presence. You will leave this session with the knowledge and ability to create an effective LinkedIn presence that not only defines who you are professionally but also can act as a place to create and sustain the networking you want to engage in.
