Lisa Wisnoski Robbins Here is my letter ---- October 18, 2014 The Honorable Judge Trudy White 300 North Boulevard Office 6201 Baton Rouge, LA 70801 Via facsimile: 225-389-8322 Re: The State of Louisiana vs. Christian Cvitanovich Your Honor, I am writing on behalf of my childhood friend, Michele Huffman, who is the mother of the victim, Mikel (Misha) Carson, in the above named case. I am writing you to ask for justice for Misha when sentencing Christian Cvitanovich for the crime of taking her life. It took almost 5 years to bring this man to justice, 5 years that he walked free without consequence to his behavior or remorse for what he did on that horrible night. Misha’s daughter, Amaya, will never know her mother. Michele will never see her own daughter again. Michele will never be the same and a little girl will be forever without the love and comfort of her own mother. Michele has diligently pursued justice for her daughter and her granddaughter and has never given up hope that Mr. Cvitanovich would one day take responsibility for his actions, and pay the ultimate penalty for taking the innocent life of her own daughter. Justice should be blind and have no consideration to the advantages that Mr. Cvitanovich’s family may afford him. I am asking you to please bring the justice that is so desperately needed and deserved. Please sentence Christian Cvitanovich accordingly with his crime and give him the harshest penalty available.
