Lisa has a question: I had my first biopsy done about a year and a half ago, and it was inconclusive, showing some suspicious cells. My doctor ordered a followup in 6 months, but then left the organization and I was back to square one with no doctor. I recently had another ultrasound done showing a total of 8 nodules - 2 new ones on the left, and 6 on the right, a total of 3 over a centimeter and one almost 2. All of the nodules were solid, and 5 of the 6 had increased in size. The doctor said no biopsy was necessary, that they would just repeat the ultrasound in 6 months. Im just wondering if this is normal, considering all the nodules were solid, and most were larger or brand new since 6 months ago. Should I try with another doctor, or should I just expect that with inconclusive biopsies theyll just ignore it. (Just as a side - I have the hospitals financial assistance, because I cant afford insurance... I suspect it might be related?) Thank you for any experiences you can share!
