Listening to Gregg Braden being interviewed on Gaiam TV. Fascinating man and interesting topics. Here are some of the powerful ideas he puts forth paraphrased in my own words which we all need to consider 1. on the theory of evolution. While their is some evidence animals have evolved there is no evidence humans have evolved. Humans seemed to have suddenly appeared 200 thousand years ago on Earth. 2. This theory of evolution and especially the survival of the fittest premise is responsible for most of whats wrong that we see in the world today. Theres far too much competition in the world and not near enough cooperation. This current century since Darwin has been the most violent in history. 3. There is evidence that all humans are not only interconnected to each other but also to their Earth. Scientific studies have proven that strong human emotions esp when experienced by many humans at the same time influence the population at large but also influence the Earths magnetic fields. 4. We are not only influenced by the emotions of others but we are influenced by those magnetic fields the Earth gives off, Evidence suggests every 5000 years these magnetic fields shift causing many changes in the Earth. We are currently beginning a new shift in those fields. Indigenous peoples of the Earth tell us how we treat each other will determine how well we get through this shift. 5. Civilization is much much older than what weve been taught in history class. History tells us there was no civilization prior to 4000 BC. New sites have been discovered that are dated to at least 10,000 BC, This indicates humans survived the previous shift which was 5000 years ago 6. We are currently experience more global crises at the same time than we have ever experienced in history. Getting through them will require a new way of thinking and a new way of dealing with each other and dealing with the Earth. 7. A relatively small number of people can influence the world. Studies have shown that if less then 1% of a population pray or meditate or experience feelings of peace love and joy simultaneously then these feelings will influence the entire population as a whole. Its been tried in various cities. If it can be tried on a much larger scale it may be enough to put humanity as a whole in a frame of mind where these global problems we face can be solved. Thoughts?
