Listening to....The Cure-The Funeral Party ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Taken from their classic 1981 album Faith, this is my favourite song from the record. The Funeral Party is an etheral soundscape of synths, bass & drums as it creeps its way into the very cracks of heart of the listener & will forever haunt them with its lyrics delivered with aching precision by Robert Smith. Often cited as one of the bands saddest songs, The Funeral Party, like Pictures Of You has a theraputic quality to its anguish that at least for me cleanses my mind, heart & soul in the darkest darkest moments of my being. Then again perhaps thats because i view Funerals as beautiful things.Celebrations of life & ultimately death! The Funeral Party has the same effect on me as a visit to the cemetary does :) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
