Listening to another advocate from THE OTHER SIDE, Teddy Locsins argument in my humble opinion displayed his shortcoming in understanding on many aspects of the situation... For decades with limited our concern within our borders but as the problems beyond our borders can no longer be ignored, people with little strategic foresight prefers handle it the easy way... LETS BE FRIENDS WITH THEM INSTEAD (OK LANG KUNIN NILA TERRITORYO AT NATURAL RESOURCES NATIN)... REGIONAL ALLIANCES? HUWAG NA!! LALO LANG MAGAGALIT ANG MALAKAS NA BANSANG YAN SA ATIN!! (THEY HANDLE THEIR TERRITORIAL DISPUTES THROUGH THE DICTUM DIVIDED THEY FIGHT, DIVIDED THE SHALL FALL... (REMEMBER THEIR REMARK ABOUT DISRESPECT IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS BY INVOLVING THE INTERNATIONAL TRIBUNAL?) ACQUISITION OF COMBAT JETS AND WARSHIPS? PARA SAAN PA? WE CAN NEVER WIN OVER A SUPERPOWER! SAYANG ANG PERA, WE CAN USE THEM BETTER FOR OUR INTERNAL TROUBLES... (SUCH MODERN WEAPON SYSTEMS ARE NECESSARY TO PROJECT OUR NATIONAL INTERESTS AND MAKING A STAND AGAINST FOREIGN AGGRESSION, NOT FOR WAGING WARS)... Teddy Locsins is an indirect way of appeasing aggression, making use of economic benefits and the fear of the effects of war to hide the true problem happening in the Asian continent... I am not a war-monger, but measures are needed to be adopted such as a respectable level of acquisition of modern weapon systems and enhance regional alliances, these will help to DETER aggression... One can never predict the future, but ONE can certainly prepare for it...
