Little humor this morning for someone out there who might need it. Went to the dentist to have a tooth cut out. It was a pretty intense one and half hours. When it was over and my mouth was stuffed with gauze, the nice young nurse was going over how to care for myself for the next few days. With each instruction she would start out, At your age.... At your age... At your age... Well I could NOT react because my mouth was full of bloody gauze. What does she mean At my age! LOL My initial reaction was to jump out of that chair...grab her by her neck (the young smooth skin with no flaws nor wrinkles) and drag her down the road 26.2 miles and then tell her to follow me back!! LOL However, I shook my head in agreement ( with the loose skin from my wrinkled neck jiggling a few extra seconds) LOL With her assistant, I stumbled out of the chair a little dizzy and commenced to walk toward the front door and out to my car. I think life is so funny. You see the NUMBER attached to my years of living really doesnt bother me...I am always telling myself that it is just a number. However, I DO know that nature takes its coarse and skin starts getting a little loose and you really wish it wouldnt; hair begins to gray ( so I dye it); veins start to protrude; bedtime begins to be your favorite time, etc. However at my age I have learned that I cannot control the word choice of others and many times that person does NOT even realize that they have chosen poorly; I can though control how I react in a situation...and at my age that s an accomplishment!
