Little more information on the possible severe weather for Halloween. If anyone remembers January 30, 2013 or at lest that morning, we had a severe weather event the dropped 22 Tornadoes mainly in Middle TN. The environment that morning was a high shear low instability set up, one thing I remember on the nigh of the 29 into the early morning hours of the 30th was the amount of lightning or well the lacking amount of lightning. I believe I seen two strikes on radar through out the enter event. The reason why was because of the low instability which made for low cloud tops. It seems that this upcoming event could be the same type of setup as that morning. What does this mean? It mean that the possible severe weather may catch people off guard, in a typical severe weather setup you kinda have a heads up with lightning and thunder it catches your attestation. With this system if you do not have a way to hear warning information the severe weather may be right on top of you before you know it. With this type of environment I suggest that everyone have a plan in place, have a way to hear warning information, and keep your NOAA weather radios on. This event will possibly not be like the January 30th event but it will still pose a threat to life and property. We will keep you updated. -V1-
