Little value to the article. It lists some facts about Ukraine and Russia, but it ignores many important facts, misinterprets very important facts about Kosovo and the article is missing any meaningful analysis. In Kosovo, tens of thousands of people (majority civilians) were killed by Serbian military and the massacre was going on for years, before NATO intervened. In Crimea there was no single casualty, nor ethnic animosity. Russian claims of protecting ethnic Russians is completely groundless. Ukraine should be free to join NATO. Just like you personally should be free to make friends with a police officer who happens to be your neighbor. Another neighbor who happens to be a gangster MAY NOT disallow you to make friends with the officer. Russia MAY NOT bar Ukraine from joining NATO. Besides, the only TRUE reason Russia is against Ukraine joining NATO is that Russia will no longer be able to abuse Ukraine. If the West and USA allow Russia abuse Ukraine, the West will have much bigger headache a few years later.
