Living Greek American in The United States changes a lot of our traditions depending on what region of Greece are Ancenstors brought back with them when they migrated to this country. And in the mean time we also made up are own Greek American words and traditions depending on what area of the states we live in... For example some words we made up- Yarda, Karo, Movearo and so on... Traditions - Depending on what part of Greece they came from - Tsamiko dance isnt danced on all regions or Greece, so people from kalymonos might dance different then someone from Sparti. In Kefalonia they eat Kreatopita, Ever heard of that? Maybe you are from Kriti? the Dialect in Crete is very different from Katharevousa Greek. The point Im making is this... At the end we are all from Greek Ancestry and share the same DNA, so lets put all are difference aside , respect this town and the Kids and families (They have their own traditions in the island of Kalymonos) and lets unite and work together as a nation in the nation we live in. Lets stand up and unify our Ethnicity! Its time! We should be proud we had a Show about us Greeks on Global Television. Give an opinion on someones unique character as an individual , Dont Stereotyoe someone for being an ethnicity! #GrowingUpGreek And nobody is better then the next person. We are all the same at the end! Human Beings!
