Living proof of how a healthy, plant-based diet changes your life and in some cases, heals even the most dire of health issues. I had the pleasure of meeting Misha while studying at the academy in Santa Monica. She is even more radiant in real life and her colleagues speak very highly of her and how she did not let that large brain tumour distract her from staying fit, doing yoga, exercising and eating healthy as well as managing marketing and sales at such a prestigious school. It embarrasses me to realize how much effort it takes for me to exercise but I will think of people like Misha for motivation. You dont have to be raw vegan to be healthy but try to make meat the smallest item in your diet rather than a daily or weekly necessity. And if you choose to eat meat, then buy organic, free range, more expensive cuts of meat in smaller quantities. Drink fresh juices, eat salads and even if its 20 minutes a day, do some exercise. See the bigger picture. Im sure many of us have witnessed our older family members dealing with hefty medical bills and hospital visits, for illnesses like diabetes, blood pressure, cancer, etc...Im sure none of us think about getting old and getting a debilitating illness but it will happen if meat, processed sugar and dairy are some of the main components of your diet. Change your attitude about healthy eating - love it. Look forward to it. Thank yourself for making a good decision. Eat mindfully. Feel the flavours as they pass through your mouth. Invest money in buying quality ingredients. Shuffle your schedule so you have some prep time to make your own food. It is possible. If you change your mind, it is. Thanks for the inspiration, Misha.
