Lloyd Crosby- "This was the first Sunday back for our Clerk of Session (that is Presbyterian for the layperson who is head of our church board) after her foot surgery. Our board met today after worship and I noticed that she was uncomfortable and kept her foot elevated throughout the meeting. When we wrapped up, I offered to pray for her and she agreed. After asking her to interrupt me if she felt anything I had no more than started inviting the Holy Spirit to be present when she told me that her foot felt hot. I then started blessing what the Holy Spirit was doing. After fifteen to twenty seconds she interrupted me again, “It’s gone!” I thought that she meant the heat, but she said, “No, the pain is gone.” I was still behind on the power curve so I asked her how much of the pain was gone. “All of it!” she replied. A Presbyterian minister praying for a Presbyterian elder after a Presbyterian board meeting in a Presbyterian church – and God shows up and shows off. Tight!"
