Local newspaper recognizes Baptist physicians, team members. The Memphis Business Journal recently honored several Baptist team members for their professional accomplishments. Longtime Baptist cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Rodney Wolf won the Health Care Heroes Lifetime Achievement Award for bringing innovations to Memphis during his 52-year career. He still lends his expertise on difficult cases. Dana Dye, vice president and administrator/CEO of Baptist Memphis, won the Health Care Heroes Administrative Excellence Award, beating out executives from Regional One Health (The Med), Case Management Inc. and Methodist North Hospital. The Baptist Operation Outreach for the Homeless and Dr. Frank McGrew were named finalists for the Health Care Heroes Community Outreach award and Health Care Provider (Physician) award, respectively. The Health Care Heroes awards recognize companies, individuals and organizations for their contributions to improving health care in Memphis and the Mid-South area. Two Baptist team members were named among the Memphis Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40, which recognizes the talents of the brightest Memphis-area professionals under age 40, both for career accomplishments and for giving their personal time to help local charities. Baptist Medical Group cardiovascular surgeon Dr. John Craig and Lindsay Stencel, assistant administrator at Baptist Memphis, were chosen from among 250 nominations.
