Locked away in hubbys cave spending time with The Lord, reflecting, trying to be still and enjoying the peace of His presence. Sometimes it is extremely hard for me to be still especially when this life waits for no one! I really have a hard time when God allows circumstances to interfere with my busy and sometimes chaotic life in order to help me slow down and seek Him. Doesnt He know that I am completely capable of slowing down on my own??? Come on, I am the master of my universe and everything in it is subject to my control! Well I can go on and on with my sarcastic mumbo jumbo but I think you all get it. Isnt it so easy to convince ourselves that we some how and by some way can gain control over our lives? With the abundance of self-help books and how to books that has been injected into the sphere of our thinking that we have to be bigger and better individuals so we can conquer the world we most certainly should already have all of the hidden secrets of being not only the master of our universe but the master of THE universe. The truth is there is not one bit of wisdom from man apart from what The Holy Spirit reveals to him through His word that can help us advance in this life, give us peace that surpasses all understanding, comfort us during our most sorrowful hour, give us unspeakable joy and allow us to grow and develop into the women of God we were created to be. You see there is no quick fix when life gets messy, there is not a magic switch that can be flipped that will change the tough situation around in your favor and you cannot wave a wand and command that all the negative and tough things just disappear but as sure as the sky is blue I can tell you this with confidence that there is a God and He is alive and well, sits on His throne and He has been and will always be the beginning and the end. Glory! He is The Faithful one, Mighty to Save, The Comforter, The Great Physician, The Great I Am and guess what? He loves you! Yes maam, thats right! He loves you, all of you - yes all of your craziness, your chaotic life, your silly thoughts of being the master of any universe and even when you are daydreaming of waving wands to make certain people or circumstances go away He still loves you! He says that there is not one thing nor person that can separate you from His love (Romans 8:39) and no matter what if there is anything that you must hide in your heart it is this truth. The Lord never said He was going to rescue us from the harsh conditions of this life but He did clearly state that whoever chose to pick up their cross and walk out this journey that He would never leave nor forsake them and that He would be with them to the end of the ages into eternity! Thank You Jesus! My husband has a sign in his cave that says pain is temporary...quitting is forever and boy there is some solid truth in that statement. The pain of this world is temporary and we know that Jesus overcame this world so we would have the inheritance of eternity and let me tell you sisters quitting is not a option! Not for the daughters of The Most High God! We may be battered, bruised and scarred from the battles we endure but with our mustard seed of faith and with our crowns upon our head we are going to fight the good fight with The Love and Joy of Christ as our shield and The Holy Spirit leading us through to victory!!! I will leave you with this... We recently laid my sweet cousin Melissa to rest and her husband Joe shared with us how Melissa was used by God to lead him back to a relationship with Jesus and after the services my sister shared with me this awesome word, Do you to think that God would not create one person to fulfill the sole purpose of bringing His son back to Him? Yes, Sameera that is how much He loves us and once our purpose is complete we are no longer required to be on this earth. Let me just say, I have been mediating on this word and it has impacted me so profoundly. We all have a purpose that is to be fulfilled on this earth and not one is greater than the other and to hear Him say Well done good and faithful servant on the day of completion is my hearts greatest desire and my hearts prayer for you beloved! Shalom!
