Logistics Specialist is urgently needed to work for a multinational Company working in the Petroleum Services Field. Job Summary: The Logistics Specialist assist the Logistics Manager in transportation of all personnel and equipment on Company business and projects within Egypt, shipment and clearance of imported equipment, tracking the utilisation of own and third party personnel and equipment as well as inventory management of equipment, spares and consumables. Responsibilities: Operational Duties: • Check goods received from suppliers against Purchase Order. • Check shipments from overseas against shipping manifest and packing list. • Check that Company and hired-in cars and trucks meet the Company’s standards. • Confer with logistics Manager to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain logistics efficiency, or maximise cost. • Verifies accuracy of physical inventory when needed. • Develop, implement and execute the structure management process for the logistics department. • Verifies inventory locations and availability for shipment against requirements specified in purchase orders. Administrative Duties: • Maintain good filing practices in logistics. • Maintain Data Base of logistics information. • Interpret Data on logistics elements, such as availability, maintainability, reliability, strategic sourcing or distribution, supplier management, or transportation. • Provide ongoing analysis in areas such as transportation costs, parts procurement, back orders, or delivery processes. • Prepare reports on logistics performance measures. • Recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes. • Develop or maintain models for logistics uses, such as cost estimating or demand forecasting. • Ensures accuracy of physical inventory order sequence by entering inter-company purchase orders and inter-company transfers into the system following defined processes. • Answers questions regarding sourcing from internal and external customers as needed. • Overview performance of third party material handling services. Qualifications: Graduation Qualification: • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Logistics from “The Arab Academy for Science and Technology (AAST)”. Professional Qualifications: • AutoCAD • Adobe Acrobat. • Basic Networking & Data Communication. • MS Office application – Advanced Level. Job Requirements: • Excellent written and spoken English (Preferably Language school graduates). • Years of Experience: 5-10 years in equivalent positions. • Awareness and knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules. • Nationality: Egyptian. • Location: Katamaya • Gender: Male. • Number of Vacancies: 1.
