London friends — I may need a safety option in case Lambeth do the dirty on me on Monday and I have no-where to sleep that night! The rather dodgy creep in Lambeth Housing Options team who is manager Brendan Morrell — having spent the day hiding from me behind his staff, eventually faced me for ten minutes in the corridor. He buckled rather when he recognised that I know the law, but is still insisting (in defiance of legislation) that they will only start to consider my case on Monday morning when I actually am literally homeless (notice to quit is for 30 March but I hope that means I can still sleep over that night). I shall be on their doorstep first thing Monday morning. And I am hoping that they have sorted out some emergency accommodation by the evening. But offers of back-up will calm my nerves. I have a good camp bed, sleeping bag and the like.
