Look how well Spotie is doing, everyone! This video was taken by great friend and volunteer Katia, at the vets office. It was few days ago and the first time Spotie actually ate real food! She was on IV for several days because she would not eat a thing but as she started to feel better, food was tried again and look... Katia is feeding her chicken and she is eating it! What doggy doesnt like chicken? LOL She has now progressed to high grade dog food and yummy treats too! Thank you so much, Katia Medina For those that do not know Spoties story... Long story short...Came into MDAS in early Sept with 2 puppies, both adopted. She was left behind. In October she became super urgent. We placed our hold and moved her off-site to await transport sometime in November. Last Saturday afternoon 10/11, MDAS called us and said she tested positive for Distemper and Herpes and must be moved by 4PM that day or she would be brought back to MDAS immediately and have to be euthanized. After scrambling and no vets having isolation room, we found a great emergency vet to take her and brought her there. She has been progressing and doing better each day. We are awaiting one more test result and will keep everyone updated.
