Look its more controversial Halloween costume nonsense. shine.yahoo/healthy-living/woman-s-boston-marathon-bombing-costume--what-it-says-about-everyone-205502002.html I have a theory about the world, and we as a society. I call it The Overcompensating Monkey Pile it goes like this, we all do things we know we arent supposed to do when people arent looking. Maybe we take a few too many pennies from the penny tray, maybe we cut people off in traffic, maybe we drive when were a little buzzed, maybe we still feel bad about that questionable night in Cancun, but none the less, we all have some things that cause a little guilt. So what happens is, when we hear a public example of someone doing something we all agree is bad, we jump REALLY hard on it. Drunk Driving, Child Molesters/Diddlers (not hot white chicks who are teachers and for some reason keep banging 14 year olds, but the real pedophiles) and people who post things on the internet in poor taste. Thats the list, these three things generate an immediate hate so quickly and instantly from everyone that suddenly a girl who wore a questionable (albeit creative) Halloween costume gets fired from her job and told she will be murdered, has packages mailed to her house, her parents received death threats. Poor judgement, yes. Deserving of this level of reaction? No. To be clear I dont think pedophilia is ok, and yes drunk driving is bad, but what happens is everyone works themselves into such a raving, frothing at the mouth level of lunacy that nothing productive or real can be done about those things. And I genuinely think that part of that reaction is because these are such obviously poor decisions that no one is willing/or wants to defend the other side of it so everyone tilts the circus in one direction and at the end, were telling a 22 year old chick she is going to get her face cut off for wearing a Halloween costume. I mean come on, it isnt like she drew the Prophet Muhammad, you know?
