Look who came to the South Carolina Aquarium Gala! Believe it or not, this is the 3rd year that a turtle arrived at the sea turtle hospital the night of the Gala. Our Kelly Thorvalson is a model of dedication, running down to meet her new patient in designer gown and heels! As of today, despite how bad it looks, this poor turtle is doing much better and should survive. Fun tidbit: Kelly Thorvalson is my inspiration for Toy in my novel SWIMMING LESSONS. Not her personal life--but her dedication and her beauty--inside and out.
