Looking at a new laptop/external HDD for Diane and were orbiting around MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. As far as I can tell, Air has 3-hr longer battery life, which matters only if you are traveling without electricity. Pro has a lot of CPU power for gaming and runs at 3.1 GHz as opposed to the Air at 2.6 GHz. Pro has 8 G AM but the Air only 4. This means a louder fan on the Pro. The retina display in the Pro is supposed to be indistinguishable from natural vision, but only slightly better than Apples other screens. Sooo...does anyone out there have experience with either of these machines, good or bad? Shed be using it for emails, Facebooking and some school stuff so I think she should get the Pro because of the RAM. THOUGHTS??????
