Looking for a few good Sparklers Are you excited about Sparks first all night fire? Do you want to see it be a huge success? Do you feel called to be in service to the circle? Do you want to connect more deeply with others in the community? If so we need you! We are calling upon our YOU to play a part in the making of Summer Spark all night fire. We are looking for some dedicated sparklers to volunteer for setup and staffing during the event. If you are able and willing to step up and help please contact me!!! Blessings and love, Venee Volunteer needs for set up day Friday 6/27 Note: for these shifts you will need to be on site by 12pm on Friday afternoon and you will need to purchase one more night to stay on site. The good news is you get to hangout another night in the woods, play and connect with the other volunteers. *Welcome portal builders (2 people): Set up an area to welcome participants. A place were they can ground, be smudged, disconnect from the outside world and bring themselves present to the sacred land we are gathering on. You can get creative with this :) *Altars and smudge gate (2-5 people): We need four directional altars and the gateway built for the fire circle. Another chance to get creative. They can be as elaborate or complicated as you desire. * Fire circle set up (2 people) This job is perfect for those who wish to play a part in creating the sacred container and learning our way in building it. This job requires an able and strong person. Involves bending and stooping, caring and chopping wood, and setting up the torches for the circle. Staff needs for Saturday 6/28 Note: For these staff positions you need to be on site by 11 am on Saturday. *Greeter and registration helper (1 person): Meet and greet folks as they come in and help out reg lead as needed. *Portal staff (3-4 people): Tend the portal area welcoming participants, smudging and making them feel like they have come home at last. Might include hugging :) *Parking (2-3 people): Greet participants help guide folks to where they can drop of stuff and then where they can park. You will most likely be the first person participants will see :) *Food altar organization (1 person): Take in and organize food altar donations Saturday as guest arrive. Oversee the moving of the food down to circle. *Kitchen staff (2 people): Help kitchen lead with set up of potluck area, washing station and the tending of the food tables for Saturday nights dinner. Help with cleanup afterward. Staff needs at the circle Saturday night: Note: These positions are at the fire circle divided up into shifts over the course of the evening until sun rise. *Smudge gate helpers (Singing) 4+: We need a few folks to lend their voices at the opening of the circle. * Tending the food altar at the circle (3-4 people) : Keeping the altar stocked with food donations, clean and organized. This is an opportunity to nurture the community. Staff needs for Sunday 6/29 *breakfast crew (2-4 people): We will be whipping up a nice breakfast for the community after the closing of the circle. * Clean up of site (AS MANY AS CAN HELP): Everyone is invited to chip in and help. Sparklers leave no trace and strive to leave sites in better shape then when we arrived. :)
