Looking for an opportunity to work with UNCG Admissions? The Undergraduate Admissions Office is currently seeking graduates with up-beat, high-energy personalities to join the recruitment team as Admissions Counselors. The Admissions Counselors may work in the office or from a home-based office if not located near UNCGs campus. The Admissions Counselor can expect to travel for many weeks in a row during the fall and spring semesters, and must be flexible in working weekend and evening work hours. Additional information regarding this position’s responsibilities will be shared during the interview process. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Representing UNCG at recruitment events throughout North Carolina Traveling approximately 10-12 weeks during the fall or spring semester (including weekends and evenings) Assisting with customer service and telephone duties Participating in the daily office rotation Giving campus tour presentations and campus tours (if needed) Answering emails from prospective students Assisting with operations and processing assignments Assisting the Recruitment Team with various recruitment related assignments Saturating targeted areas of North Carolina for recruitment purposes - building relationships with high school counselors, alumni, and prospective students Required Knowledge and skills: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Must be able to work independently. - Possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. - Broad range of knowledge of UNCG (traditions, history). - Flexible and adaptable to changing environments.
