(Looking for some opinions, and I ask that you actually think about it and not just regurgitate what you read on the Vortex.) I know weve all been told that you cant run a big cam on OBD2 heads for fear of overrevving and floating a valve. First, has anyone here actually done it? Anyone running bigger than a 262 with stock valve train? Secondly, if I have a chip with a conservative rev limiter, would that not prevent overrevving thus eliminating the possibility of floating a valve? I know this is the common rule but its like an urban legend; everybody knows someone that knows someone that did it but Ive never actually been in contact with the person that has first hand experience. Any help?
